Hold it upside down and twist the bottom lid gently. 

The pen will come out. 

Gently twist the pen in the opposite direction to lock it so that you can write. 

To put it back inside- 

Unlock it in the same manner and it will go in. 

Put the lid back on. 

Do not pull it out, otherwise the parts may separate. It doesn't break.

Just parts will get separated. But easily fixable.
